The best way to capture the essence of the most photographed subject in the world, people, is to photograph them doing the things they love doing.
As the name suggests, environmental portraiture, photographs a
person in their natural surroundings, in the space where they live
or work. It shows them as they are where they live, and occupy their
time.

Unlike studio portraiture with studio lighting and a painted backdrop, environmental portraits are typically taken with available light, existing background, and props from the environment which belong to or are used the subject.
